Amy’s love for athletics began at a very young age with a desire to keep up with her older brother. Though Amy’s love for playing competitive sports extended past college, she had become bored in recent years by the traditional methods of exercise available to someone juggling a career and family. With the encouragement of a friend, Amy came to her first Pure Barre class in the winter of 2009. She was quickly humbled by the challenging isometric holds and required mental focus. Amy was soon enthralled by the culture that Pure Barre produced: a culture of health and wellness for the mind and body. Amy’s passion for influencing optimal health has been evident in her work in corporate America as well as in her family life. Amy and her husband Jason reside in Birmingham with their three daughters Rivers, Margot and Ann Alex ages 8, 5 and 2.
