Growing up in the suburbs of Maryland, Brookelin began her training at the ballet barre at age three. She studied classical ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop, pilates and yoga. She graduated with a BFA in Modern Dance from The University of the Arts and for over 15 years she has been choreographing and teaching in the field of movement.

Pure Barre was introduced to her in 2006 and she immediately fell in love with all aspects of technique. Pure Barre's concept matched exactly with what she was already studying and teaching in her yoga practice. Brookelin is drawn to working at the barre because it teaches people the balance between strength and flexibility. She loves Pure Barre's challenging yet relaxing abilities and it's musical drive. Brookelin was honored to be trained by Carrie Rezabek in 2008, and teach at the first studio in Los Angeles. With her growing enthusiasm and love for the Pure Barre Technique, she has had the ability to not only teach but help coach others to grow in their teaching. She is pleased to help expand the LA area and is excited to bring Pure Barre to Sunset Blvd. with her partner, Bratschi Johnston. Brookelin believes that attitude is everything. Her classes remind us to keep an open mind and to enjoy each experience. She would like to invite everyone to grab their sticky socks and come discover the benefits that the barre has to offer!
