What should you expect from a Pure Barre class?
Pure Barre offers an effective total body workout focused on low-impact, high intensity movements that lift and tone muscles to improve strength, agility and flexibility for every body.
If you're new to Pure Barre, or even barre, our Pure Foundations is a great place to start to discover all of the benefits this workout can offer.
Pure Foundations is the perfect introduction to Pure Barre and our technique. Our 50-minute Foundations class is taught in a small group setting where our teacher introduces you to the basic movements of Pure Barre at a slower pace. You'll learn how our technique works and start to feel the benefits of Pure Barre in less than an hour.
Pure Barre Classic is our original barre class and the foundation of our proprietary technique. It is the fastest, most effective, full body workout offered. Our 50-minute Classic class guides you through a series of low-impact high-intensity movements designed to strengthen and tone your body in ways that no other technique can.
Pure Empower is a cardio-centric total body workout, where our Classic technique meets dynamic strength training to create a high-intensity barre workout. Our 45-minute Empower class blends Pure Barre Classic with cardio-centric movements using ankle weights and a small step bench to elevate your heart rate and improve cardiorespiratory fitness.
Pure Reform is a total body workout that uses resistance-based training to target all major muscle groups. Our 50-minute Reform class marries our Classic Pure Barre technique with strength, coordination and balance movements using resistance bands, sliders and the barre.
Pure Barre classes really help me decompress and everyone should try a Foundations Class. The teacher demonstrates, guides you in movements throughout class and will answer your questions. Pure Barre is a space I look forward to. For 50 minutes I focus on getting healthy and forget about what’s going in my life, or what happened earlier in the day. We are all at Pure Barre to get healthy.
When I think of Pure Barre, I think of my second family. The men and women I exercise with have been some of my closest friends. We know each other’s families and celebrate both in and outside of the studio together. We push each other – hard – to reach those goals. It’s a special bond you build when you hit the mats at the end of class to stretch, knowing you did something you told yourself was too much, just 50 minutes prior.
Changing my life in my mid-50s was daunting, but I wanted to be proactive. I have endured many injuries and I have multiple sclerosis. I am not defined by my injuries or illness and my Pure Barre studio taught me I can do anything I put my mind to. I go to Pure Barre 4x per week and I don’t know life anymore without it. I never thought I’d have balance again and I love working on perfecting my form and showing off my naturally silver hair!
