Barre is Better Together! Refer a Friend & Enter to Win

Alanna D

Alanna took her first Pure Barre Class in Indianapolis in 2015. At the time, she worked for Lululemon, so she'd get the chance to try different studios in the are. After her first Pure Barre class, she knew she found her happy place. Two years later she became a certified teacher. She is trained in all three of our class formats. Hands down her favorite to teach is Empower - anyone who knows her could probably have guessed that. Her favorite to take though is the OG, Classic. You truly can't go wrong with a Classic class! Outside of teaching, she works as a Data Analyst at the American Medical Association. She has a Masters in Public Health that concentrates in Epidemiology - she is a self proclaimed science and data nerd! Outside of all things work related, she loves spending time with her husband and dog - nothing wrong with a homebody! She's a big reader (she loves a good rom com / fiction book) She also loves running (to clarify —only when its nice out in Chicago!), watching sports live or on TV (go Ohio State!) and is a big time golfer! "The clients, the staff and just the overall atmosphere at Pure Barre West Loop & Fulton are what makes it so special to me. It truly feels like walking into your home every time you step foot into the studios. By a landslide, my favorite part of teaching is getting to interact, cheer on and see our clients every class. If you would have asked me five years ago if I would want to / be able to (aka not run out of the room with a panic attack) teach Pure Barre classes, I would have probably laughed. But here I am almost 6 years later and could not be happier. Getting to interact, form friendships and encourage our clients to better themselves is what keeps me coming back class after class. Teaching has truly given back to me everything I have put into it and then some. Through teaching, I have gained some lifelong friends, found some confidence in myself I never knew I had and am challenged every day to better myself and the people around me."
