Nyah has taken Pure Barre since 2019, and started teaching in January of 2023. She started taking class with her Mother in her home town Columbia, Maryland. From her first class, she fell in love with Pure Barre’s format as well as the community. Nyah is trained in the classic format, and it’s also her favorite format to take, but a very close second is Reform. She is currently studying at DePaul University pursuing a BFA in Acting (Graduating in 26’). Taking yoga classes, movement, voice, and acting, with teaching Pure Barre on the side creates a perfect mix day to day. Her schedule is busy but she loves being a busy-bee!
For Nyah, teaching Pure Barre is so fulfilling because of the Mind-Body connection she is helping others achieve. Being able to connect with people, and aid in their fitness journey is one of Nyah’s favorite parts of teaching. Her passion for the arts is tied to her passion for living happy and healthy. Other passions outside of Pure Barre for her include arts and crafts (such as painting and sculpting), fashion design, costuming, wig and makeup design, and playing the guitar (10 years)! Nyah also loves interior design; Her home is full of color, interesting shapes, and plants.
The Pure Barre community is extremely welcoming, and Nyah thanks them for aiding in her transition to living in Chicago. Without PB West Loop and Fulton, Chicago wouldn’t feel like home!
