Summer B

Summer began her Pure Barre journey in Mississippi six years ago taking classes. She found Pure Barre at a transitional point in her life. Not only did she see major physical changes (she lost 40lbs!) through taking (and eventually teaching), but it gave her the strength to continue on her path in medicine. She became a certified teacher in June 2019. She also taught in Atlanta before making the move to Chicago, where she now works as an OBGYN physician. Her favorite class format to take is Empower! "I enjoy empowering and encouraging others to be their strongest self. As an OBGYN physician, I love that I have the ability to strengthen women in multiple ways - physically, mentally, and emotionally. I love watching them grow and improve, because it has helped me in the same ways! Pure Barre West Loop & Fulton was one of the first places I came to when I moved to Chicago, and it has already become a home away from home."
