Claire

Claire is an East Tennessee native who grew up in Cleveland and attended college and post-grad at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She began dancing at the age of three, and throughout the years danced competitively for three different teams, belonged to two senior ballet companies, and choreographed for several dance teams and show choirs throughout college. After an injury that ended her dance career, Claire found it difficult to find something to fill that void and a workout that really fit. In 2011, Claire took her first Pure Barre class and was hooked! In 2015, she moved to Virginia Beach and began working full-time at two studios where she became a certified instructor. She quickly found that her favorite part of teaching was being given the opportunity to empower women on daily basis. Not only that, but the community of women at Pure Barre studios across the nation has further validated Claire’s decision to become a teacher. In 2017, Claire moved back to Tennessee to return to school where she studied Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She spent the year of 2022 in the Tampa Bay Area furthering her career as a child therapist providing evidence-based Child-Centered Play Therapy to families at a play therapy center, while also teaching at a PB studio in Florida. Claire and her husband, Paige, live in the Knoxville area where she works as a child therapist. Pure Barre has remained a huge part of Claire’s life and her primary form of self-care. Claire loves spending time with family, being outdoors, playing with her dogs, and reading a good book!
