Kayla Schutz grew up in Orlando Florida where she trained in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary and acrobatics. Kayla has won numerous awards from top dance competition organizations as well as scholarships and additional performance opportunities. In 2014 Kayla was selected to be a member of the Tremaine Performance Program where she traveled throughout the U.S. to assist with their master classes, work backstage as well as perform in their faculty shows. Kayla graduated in 2020 from The Juilliard School with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Prior to the worldwide pandemic her plans were to stay in New York City and make her way into the Broadway scene, but since then her plans have taken a slight detour. She is currently back home teaching, choreographing and taking on any new challenges she can get her hands on! Fun fact about Kayla is that she adopted a capuchin monkey named Marsel!
