Where are you originally from? I am originally from Maplewood, New Jersey! I came to North Carolina to go to Wake Forest, and I have loved it so far! How did your Pure Barre Journey Start? I started doing barre classes at home in NJ. I loved going because I feel like barre gave me my ballet fix (I did Ballet for 12 years and stopped at the beginning of high school)! I started going to Pure Barre at home and then as soon as I realized there was a Pure Barre close to Wake I signed up for a membership! How long have you been with Pure Barre Winston-Salem? I started coming to Pure Barre Winston-Salem at the start of my sophomore year as a member. Then I started working at the desk and after a few months I went to training to become a teacher! What is your favorite part about Pure Barre? My favorite part about Pure Barre is that the classes never get old! Each class has a different mix of choreo or different playlist! Our community is also so awesome- this makes the classes at PBWS seriously the best! The room is always filled with smiles and encouragement which makes coming in to teach/take class a blast! What is your favorite class format? This is so tough- I love all of the class types! If I had to pick I would probably choose classic. I love the flow of the class and truly feel like I get an awesome workout every single time. What do you do when you aren’t a Pure Barre (other jobs/hobbies, etc) When I’m not at Pure Barre, I am normally busy studying, doing research, volunteering, and hanging out with my friends. I am doing a double major in Psychology and Health and Exercise Science and a minor in Chemistry and am also doing pre-med! I’m always super busy when I’m at Wake but it’s also so so fun. I can’t think about the fact that I only have one more year left! What is one fun fact about yourself that you’d like to share?
