Aleksa was born and raised in Cleveland, OH, and formally trained in various genres of dance. After college, with business and dance degrees in hand, she was able to take part in the opening and operation of Pure Barre Bucktown, blending her entrepreneurial passion with her love of movement. Fast forward from 2014 to today, and she continues to embrace the challenge that Pure Barre provides to both the mind and body. Aleksa's favorite format to teach is Empower—good beats and dynamic movements for days! Classic and Define are her favorite formats to take—mastering the specificity of proper form is the best challenge (and helps scratch that old ballerina itch!). But above all, her favorite part about Pure Barre is witnessing clients hit a new personal best and experiencing the transformational effects it has on their strength and spirits. For Aleksa, Pure Barre never gets old, and it’s her #church. Outside of Pure Barre, Aleksa is an excited marketing agency co-founder and now supports female entrepreneurs with their branding and marketing efforts across the globe.
