“Hi! I'm Jessica. My love for fitness started when I grew up as a dancer in St. Charles. I started at Copeland Dance Academy, then competed with the St. Charles High School Drill Team (Go Saints!) and then I danced for the Miami University Dance Team in college. As my dance career came to an end, I wanted to remain fit and make my love for fitness a mainstay in my life. I became an avid marathon runner, taught Mat Pilates for 10 years, became certified as a personal trainer, and even worked as the Director of Marketing for a well-known national gym brand. After having two kids and completing 10 marathons, I started to experience a series of injuries. I gave Pure Barre a try and immediately loved it. It was exactly what my body needed; low-impact, full-body strengthening and toning. Plus, the variety of classes and the friendly Pure Barre community kept me coming back for more. Our amazing owner Molly, has been a friend of mine since high school. It's crazy to think that I was taking her fitness classes back when we were teenagers. Molly encouraged me to become a Pure Barre instructor as she was planning to open Pure Barre South Elgin. After about 2 years as a member, I was finally ready to give it a shot. Now that I have been teaching classes for 2.5 years, my only regret is that I wish I would have done it sooner. Personally it has helped me remain injury-free and it allows me to share my passion for fitness and Pure Barre. My favorite part is seeing and hearing about how Pure Barre is positively impacting each & every one of you. You are all amazing!"
