Laura Ann Smyth, originally from Canada, is a PhD Candidate in Dance Studies, a Professor of Dance at Loyola Marymount University and a professional performance artist. Her Pure Barre journey began 11 years ago when she attended an instructor audition at Pure Barre Beverly Hills, never having taken a Pure Barre class prior. She immediately fell in love with the workout and how well it complemented her dance training; she has been passionate about it ever since. The positive community, the supportive environment and the ever-changing and challenging workout makes a future without Pure Barre hard to imagine.
