Maya
Maya grew up in western Wisconsin and moved to Missouri for college (MIZ!) where she earned her BS in Biology. After graduating she moved to Colorado where she pursued her Masters in Health Administration. After exploring the beautiful Rocky Mountains for several years, she moved back to MO to marry her college sweetheart, a KC native. During her first week in Kansas City she found PBZR, and the rest is history! A lifelong dancer, the movements were familiar yet challenging and the people are unmatched. Her favorite class is Empower, there is nothing better than getting a little sweaty to upbeat music surrounded by the most uplifting community. Outside the studio, she manages a multidisciplinary orthopedic clinic. Maya loves to travel, try new restaurants and breweries, hang out with her family (including her cat, Lilah), and has a (minor) obsession with all things Disney.
