Emmie was born in Berkeley, California and was a Cali girl until her family moved to Lake Oswego in 2000. She grew up doing gymnastics and dance and found her love for cheer in middle school which she carried on into her college years at Portland State. She stumbled across an instructor position at Pure Barre after moving back from New Zealand in 2023 after being there for a year & traveling around Australia and Asia. In her words, “Pure Barre saved my life”, the community, music, and fitness has brought so much fulfillment to her life. You can catch her enjoying Mother Nature through hikes, any adventure water related, laying on a patch of grass looking at the stars or at Baja Fresh ordering a shrimp Diablo burrito.
