Carrie
Carrie found her passion early in life in the dance studio. She began to take dance seriously in high school and that earned her a scholarship to Oklahoma City University where she majored in Dance Performance. Carrie graduated from OCU Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Performing Arts. Immediately following graduation she moved to Las Vegas where she performed as a Showgirl in Donn Arden’s Jubilee! at Bally’s Hotel and Casino. It was in Las Vegas that Carrie found Pure Barre. She had recently left Jubilee! and was looking for a new workout to help her with an upcoming audition. After her first Pure Barre class, Carrie left the studio with a calling. She knew that she was either going to teach this amazing class or one day own a studio and become even more a part of this Pure Barre community. Just months later Carrie decided to move back home to Kansas - where her husband had been living while she was living in Las Vegas. Hoping to find a Pure Barre studio near her home, Carrie found a studio opening in Overland Park and it was hiring instructors! After a few Skype interviews and just days after returning home with her entire life in a box truck, she was hired and was off to training. Pure Barre Overland Park opened in November of 2012 and Carrie instructed there from the day the doors opened until the day the doors opened at Pure Barre Lawrence. Carrie is thrilled to transform her passion for dance and performing into teaching Pure Barre. She is so happy to share this amazing technique that has changed her body for the better. Carrie likes to share with clients that she is in better shape taking four to five Pure Barre classes a week than when she was in Jubilee! and performing two shows a night, six days a week. Carrie is committed to bringing a supportive, empowering, healthy and fun environment to the city of Lawrence. She is ecstatic to introduce everyone to the technique, culture and company that changed her life!
