Lucy Yates (she/her)
Hey team! I was born and raised in Seattle and found Pure Barre after a hip injury sidelined my (high impact) physical fitness ability. I became an avid PBWA client and soon started barretending as an undergrad in college. I jumped on the opportunity to become an instructor when it presented itself and the rest is history!
My fitness (and life) philosophy is all about balance! I am a huge fan of doing everything in life with moderation. I hope my class brings clients an hour to focus on themselves and forget the outside world! I also hope my classes provide a 'meditative' space for my clients to better their physical and mental health.
When I am not working out, I am a full time student at the University of Washington studying Public Health. Outside of studying, you can find me knitting, cooking, reading, or trying to keep my houseplants alive!
I LOVE how accessible of a workout Pure Barre is. It was instrumental in my personal injury recovery, and continues to challenge me to this day!
