Katie started taking Pure Barre shortly after the studio opened in 2013 and never looked back. After spending hours in gyms working with personal trainers, Pure Barre was the first fitness program that spoke to her. It was transforming and inspiring and the "shakes" became addictive. In 2018, Katie had the privilege of becoming a Pure Barre instructor and got to join an extraordinary group of women, many of whom have become fast friends. She describes the training and development process as one of the hardest things she's ever done, but also one of the most fulfilling. "It's an honor every time I get to teach and share my Pure Barre passion with others. Those butterflies I always feel before class tell me how important it is to give 110% and that this opportunity means the world to me. I love making people smile, and maybe even giggle, when they feel like they can't take another 10 reps. So, I strive to make class a little bit lighter and hope it resonates: anything is possible when you're laughing." In her spare time, Katie enjoys practicing veterinary medicine, spending time with her dogs, avoiding her Peloton, and doing crosswords.
