Ashley M.

Ashley began her Pure Barre journey as a client in St. Louis in 2014, and has been teaching for over 6 years. She is thrilled to join Pure Barre Jersey City as General Manager under friend and owner Lisa! In addition to teaching at PBJC and PBNY, Ashley is also a professional dancer and dance educator. She is the Founder/Artistic Director of Smashworks Dance, a non-profit dance company advocating for women’s empowerment through performing arts, educational programming, and community outreach; and leads the Smashworks Education Outreach partnership with Girl Scouts of Greater New York. She holds her MFA in Dance from Hollins University and BFA in Dance from Webster University. She is also an Adjunct Professor of Dance for Manhattanville College, and currently performs and choreographs throughout the New York area and beyond. She lives in downtown Manhattan with her fiancé and orange tabby cat, Lil Sebastian.
