Frances took her first Pure Barre class in June 2013 at the suggestion of a friend. The Birkdale studio had just opened and was half way between her job in uptown Charlotte and her home – a great way to escape the Lake Norman traffic and spend an hour focused on improving mind and body. She was instantly hooked, taking class 5-6 days per week, finding muscles that had been lost for years, or most likely never even existed, and a community of friendship and encouragement. In 2014, she decided to step out of her comfort zone and take the opportunity to become a teacher. 7 years later, engaging with clients and teaching this technique is still the highlight of her day – she loves to help clients find their best form to achieve that Pure Barre shake, celebrate their successes - big & small, and see all of their inspiring results.
When not at the barre, you can find Frances at her home in Plaza Midwood usually in the kitchen cooking & meal prepping, working on a home improvement project, or enjoying the day with her family and friends. She has 3 amazing children – twin daughters who also love Pure Barre, and live locally with their husbands & growing families, a son who lives in Austin, Texas & who she would love to get closer to home, 2 precious grand-daughters who were born this year, and an old black lab to round out the crew.
Life is definitely better with the barre and she hopes to see you in a class soon!
