Julia

Meet Julia! Julia is the Lead Teacher of the Vermont location. She found Pure Barre on Google after a friend told her about barre workouts. She took her first Pure Barre class right after the studio opened in 2014, but lived south of Middlebury so wasn’t able to take many classes in the beginning. After her second child was born she started driving up 2-3x a week for class and then eventually convinced her husband to move to Chittenden County. She credits Pure Barre with inspiring the big move! When asked what she loves most about Pure Barre: "What is not to love? I’m very musically driven, so the way that the workout pairs with music really drives and inspires me." Pure Barre has taught her about how to engage her core properly, have a stronger mind body connection, and she loves how it can be so intense with so little impact on her joints. She also believes the community cannot be beat! It's hard for Julia to pick a favorite format, but she would say Classic because she's a sentimental gal and that's where it all started. Julia's goal as a teacher is to inspire each and every person in the room, both to fall in love with the process of fitness (she believes it’s not an end destination, but a lifelong practice) and to offer a challenge. She believes every person is truly capable of anything and if she can be a part of helping them see and understand that, then she has achieved her goal. If Julia is not on the mic, then you can find her hopefully taking class because she loves to exercise! You can also find her spending time with her three awesome kids and loving husband, Brian.
