Where are you from? I grew up Pittsburgh, PA. But I am in school at Indiana University Bloomington where I also teach at the Bloomington studio. How long have you been teaching Pure Barre and what formats do you teach? I’ve been teaching PB for about a year and a half. I teach classic, empower, and define. What’s your favorite move to teach and why? I love any type of plank because they are challenging but effective. It’s a move where you can really see your strength level up class by class. Sticking in that 90 second plank a little longer, trying it on your toes one day, etc… There’s also so many modifications, so there’s a way to make it work for every single body in class. How do you stay motivated to show up and give your best? I love bringing the energy to inspire those around me. I teach my classes in the way that I would want to be motivated in if I was taking class. I am passionate about movement. And I LOVE pure barre so it makes it easy to show up everyday! I also try to take class myself as much as possible. What do you love most about the Pure Barre Community? I love that clients of such diverse backgrounds and ages come together. It’s special to see a 16 year old doing the same workout as an 80 year old. Everyone is so welcoming and celebrates milestones. To me, it’s an escape from the outside world. And so special!!!
