Where are you originally from?

How did your Pure Barre Journey Start?
My Pure Barre journey started when I lived in Northern Virginia. I took my first class in 2013 at the Fairfax, VA studio and after class I remember thinking, Wow that was challenging, but I loved it! When my husband and I decided to move back to Winston, I was so excited there was a Pure Barre studio in Reynolda Village!
How long have you been with Pure Barre Winston-Salem?
As a member since 2014, when my husband and I moved back to Winston and as an instructor for almost 2 years!
What is your favorite part about Pure Barre?
My favorite part about Pure Barre is the challenge of the workout each time you take class. The flow of class is consistent, but class itself never gets any easier! I love how customizable Pure Barre can be for where you are in your workout journey. There are always modifications if needed, but there is always that opportunity to push yourself just a little more each class to grow stronger physically and mentally!
I also LOVE the community! The clients, instructors, and front desk associates are truly unmatched!
What is your favorite class format?
I will always love Classic! However it’s a tie between Align and Define!
What do you do when you aren’t a Pure Barre (other jobs/hobbies, etc)
When I’m not at Pure Barre I’m spending time with my family! My husband Dan and I have a little girl, Emma (5) and two dogs, Parker and Xara. I enjoy gardening, reading and baking!
Before having Emma, I was a Special Education Teacher for students with Autism for almost 9 years.
What is one fun fact about yourself that you’d like to share?
One fun fact about myself is I have a fear of mascots haha! Even as an adult I know it’s just a person wearing a mascot costume, but it’s been a fear of mine for as long as I can remember!
