Sara
Where are you originally from?
Newton, Iowa, but I have been living somewhere in the southeast for the last 20 years!
How did your Pure Barre Journey Start?
My husband and I moved back to the triad after living in Atlanta for just shy of 10 years. I had taken a version of barre there, but he bought me a package to try out…and well the rest is history! I fell head-over-heels in love.
How long have you been with Pure Barre Winston-Salem?
About 4 years as a client and teaching now almost 1 year!
What is your favorite part about Pure Barre?
I love Pure Barre for so many reasons, but my favorite and what drew me in and sealed the deal was the strong, supportive and positive community. I work full-time in sales and marketing outside Pure Barre, and this balances me and grounds me foundationally as a person. It is a little funny, but my husband can always tell when I haven’t been to pure barre…IYKYK. 😉 Needless to say, I get a great workout that challenges my mind and body, a strong community and I love going in the studio to teach and to take class with some of the strongest and most beautiful people I know (inside and out).
What is your favorite class format?
Oh wow. That is tough. I do love all of our class formats. They challenge me and my muscles in different ways to gain strength, flexibility and balance. Classic sets us up foundationally and really the reason I fell in love with Pure Barre to start. I like all class formats for different reasons and recommend giving them all a try at some point if you are on the fence about one or another.
What do you do when you aren’t a Pure Barre (other jobs/hobbies, etc)
I work in the residential appliance industry specializing in ventilation when I am not taking or teaching Pure Barre. I love to travel, live music and spending time with my family and friends. My husband, Bryan and I, have 2 kitty cats (sisters) named Bobbie and Georgia! They are the apple of both of our eyes and love spending time with them.
