Sarah

What year and how were you introduced to PB? Was introduced to PB in Nashville, TN, back in 2008 but chickened out and never actually attended a studio class. Flash forward almost a decade after teaching yoga, another style of barre, and group fitness classes and I finally started Pure Barre in 2017 in New Braunfels when they opened a studio and were looking for interested teachers. What inspired you to become a teacher? I was in graduate school at the time for physical therapy, had taught barre before under a different format, and was looking to get back into teaching for both a mental diversion to school and for a fun side job that allowed me to educate and help clients feel stronger in their bodies. What is your favorite format or body part to teach? Classic is such a great full-body class and a great way to provide low impact strengthening. What would you say to someone who is brand-new to PB? Don’t let the challenge of your first class scare you away! Sticking to it and seeing your gains in strength and endurance with the exercises really is worth it! What are your hobbies? Running/hiking, Reading, & spending time with my family Fun fact about yourself? I’m a Midwesterner by upbringing but have spent more years living in the South than the North.
